Noosa Shire Council had to deliver an excellent user experience at every site, whether it was a council office, a public library or an aged-care facility, the council trusted Nexon to take the pressure off its internal staff and get the job done right.

In January 2014 Noosa Council officially split from Sunshine Coast Council and, inevitably, ICT issues arose. Noosa Council worked with Nexon to take the leap into the cloud in 2014 – and they haven’t looked back.

The challenge

The council needed new telephony services, improved database management, a complex, multiple-site structure and the flexibility to expand. The existing system was antiquated, with servers located in outdated computer rooms, with no climate control, running a complex jigsaw of old and new software that often fell three to five years behind new releases.
