Nexon, a leading Australian consulting provider of IT solutions for medium to large enterprises and public sector organisations, has been awarded Gold Partner status by storage and data management company, NetApp.

Nexon was originally appointed a NetApp partner one year ago and since then has integrated a FlexPod architecture from NetApp and Cisco into its overall go-to-market cloud and disaster recovery offering.

At the same time, Nexon has deployed NetApp within its own new managed services infrastructure facility at Summer Hill in Sydney and invested in training an in-house team of professional pre- and post-sales NetApp engineering consultants.

Barry Assaf, Director and Head of Sales at Nexon, said, “NetApp has rapidly become a critical and core technology offering for our business. Over the past 12 months, we have built customised solutions using NetApp storage as the core platform and now have a physical facility also in place where we can replicate client data offsite to support client disaster recovery compliance requirements.”
Nexon’s strategic transformation services help organisations efficiently define, plan and undertake successful managed services, networking and connectivity, cloud services, voice, video and data convergences, applications and business process integration.

The converged infrastructure from Cisco and NetApp under the FlexPod architecture compliments the company’s Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and security and disaster recovery services which are offered as managed services in the cloud. These are all further enhanced with Nexon’s managed carriage network component, a unique offering in the Australian market.

Nexon has already deployed NetApp at several flagship client sites, including Moore Stephens Accountants and Advisors, Lowes Menswear, and at the independent Catholic day school, Loreto Kirribilli.

“We are delighted that our skills and industry experience has been recognised by NetApp. At the same time, we are also excited to work together to offer a range of cloud services solutions which provide for a rapid return in business benefit to best serve the needs of public and private sector organisations in Australia.

NetApp is a key vendor for us so we will continue to invest resources in supporting the skills required to drive its successful customer adoption. We see significant growth for the FlexPod offering as organisations look to refresh their equipment and seek an integrated disaster recovery solution without needing to invest in the expense of hardware,” said Assaf.

As a NetApp Gold Partner, Nexon gains access to comprehensive sales, technical, training and support available from NetApp.

“We are proud to publicly recognise Nexon as a NetApp Gold Partner, and have been impressed by its commitment to working alongside customers to deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific needs,” said Todd Parsons, channel sales and alliances director, NetApp. “We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with Nexon to help drive the best possible business outcomes for its customers.”
