Skilled staff spend hours managing ageing applications that could be retired, consolidated or upgraded. What used to be bespoke may now be possible off the shelf.
The fix
Consolidate into platforms you’re already paying for and free up resources for work that moves the business forward.
Shadow IT and governance gaps

Staff sign up for their own file-sharing, project management or AI chat tools without telling IT. Sensitive data leaves your security perimeter or ends up on public AI platforms. You can’t govern what you can’t see.

Map what’s actually being used, bring it under governance and offer better, approved alternatives.
Lack of trust in data
The issue
Data silos mean a customer in one system doesn’t match the same customer in another. Reporting requires manual workarounds and the team loses trust in the numbers.
The fix
Consolidate as much as possible onto the platforms where your core business data already lives, so it connects natively rather than through workarounds.
AI-unreadiness
The issue
When your data is scattered across dozens of disconnected tools, any AI initiative starts with months of integration work before you get to do anything useful.
The fix
Wherever you are on the AI journey, a central source of truth is the foundation everything else builds on. Ecosystem consolidation is how you get there.
