Nexon Asia Pacific (Nexon) has extended its Unified Communications service offering to meet the needs of many mid-market organisations transitioning to the nbn™ access network.

Nexon’s cloud calling solution, in partnership with Optus Wholesale, offers organisations a seamless, cost-effective means to transition legacy voice services to a cloud-based solution, via dedicated network connectivity or over the internet. The Optus Cloud-UCX solution allows Nexon customers to initially adopt basic telephony functions, with the ability to add additional features on a consumption basis.

“With ISDN disconnections accelerating, organisations have commenced the search for a cost-effective replacement solution for their legacy and sometimes disparate PBX systems” said Garth Sperring, Nexon Practice Lead Network and Security.  “We wanted to provide our customers a friction-less migration to a service that supports multi-vendor phones as well as access to software and mobile endpoints“ added Sperring.

Head of Marketing and Product for Optus Wholesale & Satellite, Andrew Stojcevski, says Optus’ partnership with Nexon means Nexon customers will have a fully integrated, cloud-based unified communications service and collaboration solution available at all times.

“Optus Cloud-UCX offers our wholesale partners access to a powerful and feature-rich cloud-based UC platform. It was designed to make transitions simple, easy and cost-effective for businesses. Nexon required a multi-tenanted solution to support their broad customer base and the Optus Cloud-UCX meets these needs and offers future scalability,” said Stojcevski.

Many customers today, including Craveable brands and Toymate, have adopted the service from Nexon as part of their network migration. The cloud calling solution has ensured continuity including the ability to retain existing phone numbers for the voice services at their store locations. The Cloud-UCX solution provides the scalability and flexibility Nexon requires to deploy the services on demand.
